leon: a winter weather alert tonight as snow is falling. schools are planning ahead for tomorrow morning. prince william county schools

the stormschools are planning ar tomorrow morning. and tom roussey will give us the conditions from mobile track 7 in just a minute, but steve is looking at the neighborhoods and the impact on the commute. steve: if you live in the district, fairfax, you are looking at a tremendous amount of snow, even though you are under a winter weather advisory overnight, extended until 10 a.m. winter storm warning in st. mary's county overnight where they could pick up three inches of snow or more a the time the system moves out. the reason we are looking for heavy snow across the immediate metro, the core of the system is well to the south with light to moderate snowfall inside the beltway. southern maryland, moderate snow at this hour that will continue overnight. how much to expect? anywhere from a trace to one inch in the grass. what to expect in your neighborhood as we track this snow this evening. leon: you got it, steve. alison:
